Since always, Preci-Coat SA has tried to give a particular emphazis to the characterization
of its coatings and to the quality control ; When in traditional electroplating, most of the time,
periodical control for thickness, adherence and wear resistance are amply sufficient , the quality
warranty of PVD coatings needs a large knowledge of the substrate' s nature, of the coatings and
of each batch's control
Therefore Preci-Coat has its own chemical and metallographic analyse's
laboratory relevant to surface treatments and materials : IONILAB. Analyses are carried out by means
of various equipments such as scanning electron microscope, EDS microprobe, light microscope, micro
hardness tester etc.
Several other tests are also made such as : wear, corrosion, hardness etc.
